Everyone knows that emerald rings have been in existence since the ancient times.
They are popular for their eye catching colors and marvelous designs. People from the ancient times give high
regard to this precious jewelry because they represent glamour and elegance. They are also an ideal choice
for presents because of their rare, unique and natural qualities. And if you are thinking of buying one, I am
pretty sure you must be curious of the cost but do not fret too much because it is a guaranteed wise
investment. Just like you, I am trying to make wise decisions and I think I did when I bought a gold emerald
ring for my mother.
At first I did not like the idea of buying something that is expensive for
someone since I am a practical person and I believe that when you give presents, it does not have to be a
financial burden to yourself just as long as the thoughtfulness is there. However, my friend suggested that I
buy my mom something that she can treasure for a lifetime and perhaps hand down to her children and I will be
lucky if I inherit it.
I spent weeks thinking of the best gift for her 70th birthday. I even
asked my dad what he thought would make my mom happy. He just said simple things. Usually I give her a bag or
a pair of shoes for her birthday or something that she can really use every day. But this time, I felt that I
had to give her something worth remembering and a piece of jewelry could probably be the
answer.
And so I consulted my friend who owns a jewelry shop and she suggested that I buy
her an opal ring. The color or type then depends on what I want. I checked the price and emerald rings are
quite expensive. But anyway, to cut the story short, I saved my salary and bought a gold emerald ring for
her.
I chose gold among other colors because I think older people prefer wearing
anything in gold. Gold jewelry really looks luxurious and of high value so I thought it would be a perfect
choice for mom. Indeed I made the right decision; she was teary eyed when she opened the small box. I did not
kneel, propose or something. I just gave it to her tied in a red ribbon and when she opened it, I knew that
she liked it. My dad told me my grandmother also gave my mom a gold opal ring but she lost
it.
I guess it is good to have something in your family which you can pass from one
generation to the next. It does not necessarily have to be gold emerald rings. You can also opt for other
styles and colors of jewelry or a different item. The important thing as mentioned earlier is still the
thought and a gold emerald ring just conveyed that.
